Urban Lodge

We’ve been seeing a lot of rustic elements in home décor lately. And one look that is finding some love from me is the Urban Lodge look. This style is all about a love for the outdoors, camping, canoeing, hiking, basically all things rustic and Canadian. This look is kept hip and current by mixing in modern and urban elements. Rustic finds like old suitcases, fishing poles and branches are combined with bright shots of colour (red works well with this look), modern typography prints and cool silkscreen posters.

Furniture-wise, I’d recommend shopping from a Quality Canadian Manufacturer. They use local wood and have a natural Canadian-chic look to their designs that work perfectly with the Urban Lodge style. Some of my favorite finds include dining tables from Grown Design, mirrors and benches from Springwater Woodcraft and I just LOVE the new 733 glider series from Dutalier… I am actually obsessed with this glider.

If you are looking for a fresh new style try embracing all the elements that make Canada so cool, you will be right on trend.
