Shades of Grey
I have always loved the look of grey in the home. It’s a very calming neutral and can complement cool or warmer toned décor. We’ve seen gray make a huge entrance into interior design over the last 6-7 years.
It started with soft grey’s being used on the wall and moved quickly into accessories (grey throws, pillows). Recently we have seen gray become a staple in furnishings and the grey sofa is quickly rising in popularity and challenging the beige sofa as a living room must-have. They grey sofa is very clean, classic and chic in design—the definition of refined luxury. Styles vary, as seen in these selections from several Quality Canadian Manufacturers. From Décor Rest the Monaco leather sofa is a very light grey, almost white, classic in design with the sloped arms and nail head trim. From Barrymore the Bronwyn Banquette is sleek and elegant and would work well in a number of rooms including the hallway, bedroom or living room. Finally, from Brentwood Classics the “1230” tufted sofa offers a more traditional take on the grey sofa. This would look perfect in a classic or country home. If grey is not for you, all of these sofas are available in a wide number of fabric style and colours. That said I encourage you to give grey a chance in your home, you won’t regret it!
