Magical… this is the best word I can think of to describe the town of Kohler Wisconsin. I recently traveled to the town, founded in the 1873 to resemble a European garden village, to scout the massive design center for inspiration.

I (ignorantly) expected a simple showroom in an industrial suburb and I was delightfully surprised at the gem of a community that the Kohler family had created.  Lush gardens, abundant wilderness, five-star restaurants (serving some of the best meals I have ever tasted), a luxurious spa, two award winning golf courses and a 5 Diamond resort hotel are just some of the highlights of Kohler.

But I was on a design mission- finding the latest trends in bath, kitchen and spa fixtures and accessories- here are some of my favourites:

Hatbox toilet- Compact and sleek, this hatbox toilet proves that less is more! I think this style is a perfect complement for many of the masculine-inspired bathrooms we are seeing on the pages of décor magazines.

Enamel sink and Purple tub- Colour in the bathroom and kitchen has made a huge comeback. This foam green enamel sink would look great in an all white kitchen. While the purple tub would complement a grey ensuite.

Retro-inspired sink- I WANT this retro-inspired sink for my loft! I think that to often we opt for a simple modern sink when something more delicate and ornamental would complement an urban space.

Gold faucet: The Karbon faucet is designed to reach every possible angle of a sink. (Now available in gold)

Dragon sink and Moroccan sink: Kohler employees an internationally based design team to develop exciting new products. This global focus is reflected in the design of these two ornate sinks. Both are perfect options for a powder room.
