2013 Trends: Colour

With 2013 getting closer I thought I’d start introducing some of the top trends in décor. (It never hurts to look to the future!) Lets start with colours. Bright strong colours are very popular for 2013 and the three colours that top my list will be sure to add punch and pop to your home.

Green- Classic Kelly Green and fresh leaf green take center stage for 2013. Perfect for decorating a living room or entryway, this colour looks great on classic checked fabrics and geometrical wallpapers. Decorative fashion dinnerware is an inexpensive way to incorporate green onto a table setting.

Bright Turquoise- Undoubted one of 2013’s hottest shades, bright turquoise is the ideal colour to update a living room or dining room. Shop for cushions and accessories (candleholders, champagne flutes, bowls and vases) in this brilliant shade. Turquoise works extremely well in classic chocolate brown rooms or neutral rooms.

Juicy Orange- Orange continues it’s reign in 2013, moving from tangerine to a juicy bright orange. Add punch to your kitchen with juicy orange appliances, accessories, wallpapers and fabrics. From a blender in the shade or citrus to wallpaper inspired by a mandarin orange, juicy orange is the best colour pathway to follow when it comes to kitchen decorating. Tea towels, glassware and storage containers add a bright touch to kitchen décor.
